Plaited-handle basket in solid sterling silver from the Victorian period, signed Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr & Mortimer (1813-1859) on the rim.

Ornate and clad with a marine tortoiseshell, it presents a harmonious natural form and well-preserved natural motifs. The scales are visible, arranged in symmetrical plates that cover the entire exterior surface.
