Large decorative textile with an Oriental-inspired taste, characterized by a very rich ornament featuring birds, flowering branches, peonies and botanical motifs.
The front side features a green background with a smooth, bright surface, with machine embroidery.
The design recalls the traditional Oriental repertoire 'birds and flowers'.
The back is finished with striped jacquard/brocade fabric.
The fiber composition is not certified; in appearance, sheen and feel the fabric could be silk, rayon/viscose. For accuracy, a definite composition is not attributed.
The textile is in generally good condition. There is a localized stain documented in the attached photographs. Normal storage folds are noted.
