Tintin 53, 58 - Tintin - 2 Comic - 1937

A beautiful collection set devoted to the world of Tintin and the works of Hergé, bringing together an original issue of Le Petit Vingtième dating from 1937 as well as a remarkable set of nine old illustrated cards "Kuifje in Amerika".

LE PETIT VINGTIÈME – N° 51 – 23 DÉCEMBRE 1937

Original issue of Le Petit Vingtième No. 51, dated December 23, 1937.

This historic publication, now nearly 90 years old, belongs to the great period of Tintin's early adventures published in the press.

The journal shows the usual signs of age: foxing, wear marks and small losses/wear on the edges visible in the photographs. Despite its age, it remains a particularly interesting piece for collectors of Tintin, Hergé and early illustrated press.

9 ANCIENT CARDS "KUIFJE IN AMERIKA"

A particularly appealing set of nine old illustrated cards on the theme of "Kuifje in Amerika" (Tintin in America).

The main interest of this set lies in its remarkable condition.

The nine cards retain very clear illustrations and particularly beautiful colors. The set shows a very nice uniformity and has clearly been carefully preserved.

Given their age, their condition is a real strong point of the lot. Collecting the nine cards together in such uniform conservation is particularly appreciable for a collection dedicated to Hergé and Tintin.

Each card features a different illustration inspired by the Tintin in America universe.

COLLECTION SET

Thus this lot combines two old testimonies of Hergé's universe: an original December 1937 issue of Le Petit Vingtième and a homogeneous set of nine old "Kuifje in Amerika" cards in remarkable condition.

An especially interesting set for collectors of Tintin, Hergé, ancient documents and illustrated advertising pieces.

The set is sold as shown in the photographs.

The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow an accurate assessment of the condition and features of each item.
