Description from the seller
Executive desk table, crafted and painted in a refined light sage green, featuring a slender, richly decorated structure in the Luigi XVI / neoclassical style.
Particularly fine is the workmanship of the four legs, with fluted shafts, turned elements, and relief-carved decorations, connected by the elegant lower X-shaped stretcher, also shaped. The legs terminate in small worked feet. A wide front drawer, complete with a pull handle. The drawer construction is interesting, made of wood and assembled at the corners with traditional dovetail joints, as documented in the close-up photos. The slight irregularities visible in the workmanship attest to a traditional construction technique and contribute to the character of the piece.
Especially interesting is the top: on the upper part there is a glass shelf, beneath which is placed a light fabric lining. This solution protects the underlying surface and creates an elegant decorative effect typical of small living room pieces, dressing tables or desks.
The sage green finish deliberately preserves the marks and small flaws of the varnish due to time and use, well visible in the photos. In some places the natural color of the underlying wood emerges. These elements give the piece a pleasant, lived-in patina.
It can be used today as a coffee table, console, small desk, entryway table, dressing table, bedroom furniture, or as a decorative element in classical, shabby chic, French country settings or in contemporary interiors where you want a piece with strong character.
Dimensions
- Width: 64 cm
- Depth: 44 cm
- Height: 75 cm
- Upper surface in glass
- Front drawer
The table is offered in the condition visible in the photos, which form an integral part of the description. It shows wear, abrasions, and color loss compatible with its age and use, particularly on the edges, legs, and feet.
