Up for auction a magnificent and exceptional Technics SH-8030, known among enthusiasts as the "Space Dimension Controller". Produced in Japan in the early 80s (1981-1983), this iconic device combines a 5-band graphic equalizer per channel, a stereo ambience processor (Space Dimension) and an adjustable echo/reverb effect.
A feature decidedly rare and valuable for this category of equipment is the presence of an integrated MM Phono preamplifier stage, complete with grounding screw (GND). This allows connecting a turntable directly to the equalizer and mixing its sound in real time with other sources (Mixing function). A piece with a unique design, perfect to enhance any vintage Hi-Fi system.
Aesthetic conditions: Excellent condition with some imperfections, namely a few scratches on the case and one of the equalizer buttons has been re-covered. (See photo)
Functional conditions: Fully functional. The LEDs light up correctly, the faders glide smoothly and the potentiometers have been tested without background noise. The device has been used with care until a few days ago and does not suffer from issues due to prolonged idle time
