Elegant set of 4 vintage Bayel champagne flutes, French manufacture, belonging to the celebrated Bacchante figurative production, dating roughly to the 1970s.
The stems feature a slender, transparent crystal bowl supported by a refined sculptural stem in frosted crystal, shaped in the round into the form of a nude female figure.
The contrast between the transparency of the bowl and the frosted effect of the figures creates a particular play of light and highlights the plastic workmanship of the stems. The different poses of the figures give the service a strong decorative and sculptural character.
The series well represents the taste of French production in the late 20th century, with evident references to the figurative elegance of Art Déco.
