Bedspread - 280 cm - 260 cm - Hand embroidered bedsprea

Important pure linen bedspread, entirely handmade in Sicilian drawn-thread work.
It is one of those pieces that impresses most when you take in the whole: at the center a large embroidered medallion dominates, while along the falls there appear broad bows and, in the four corners, elegant winged putti.
This is a true figurative design that extends across the entire surface of the bedspread and requires a substantial amount of manual labor.
The linen is of high quality and the Sicilian drawn-thread work is executed entirely by hand.
Bedspreads of this level belonged to the most important linens of the house, and even today, when crafted by hand in pure linen, they are offered in the top tier of embroidered linen.
