Description from the seller

Vintage round wooden guéridon occasional table in the Luigi XVI / neoclassical style, characterized by rich decorative work. The small table features four long, fluted legs, adorned at the top with oval decorative elements and at the bottom with foliate motifs. The legs terminate with small turned feet and are joined at the base by a shaped cross-stretch, also decorated and completed at the center by an ornamental element. Especially interesting is the circular band beneath the top, decorated along the perimeter with relief floral and vegetal motifs. Along the legs there are additional rectangular ornamental elements. The finish combines ivory/cream tones, light green, and brown, with color contrasts used to highlight the carved parts and moldings. The circular top is one of the most characteristic elements: inside the shaped frame there is a damask-covered insert. It presents a pleasant patina of age, with small signs and normal finish imperfections visible along the upper edge and at some points of the structure. These features are consistent with the object's age and use and are documented in the photos. A piece of furniture with notable decorative effect, suitable as a side table, guéridon, coffee table, or decorative element, interesting in both a classic setting and as a contrasting piece within a contemporary interior. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: Diameter: 39 cm; Height: 59 cm; Weight: approximately 2.5 kg.
