Although the PM640’s rated power is 35 watts per channel, its high instantaneous current capability ensures the amplifier can deliver far more peak power when the loudspeakers demand it. What’s more, under heavy load the PM640 easily outperforms amplifiers with twice its rated power.
You also get the open, transparent sound that you only find in components with little negative feedback and an ultra-wide frequency range.
