Description from the seller
Elegant Italian sideboard in Art Deco style, probably dating from the 1930s–1940s, characterized by refined marquetry in veneer and burr walnut.
The piece presents a monumental and harmonious structure, with a wide-shaped upper surface, an articulated front, and two elegant bow-fronted side vitrines with curved glass. The central section consists of a large door with a burr veneer panel, enhanced by a refined inlay decoration in geometric and floral patterns.
Numerous decorative details enrich the structure: inlaid fillets and ornamental motifs along the front, decorative applications in gilded metal, and symmetrical motifs that emphasize the lines of the furniture. The rounded shapes of the vitrines and the base are particularly characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic.
Inside the vitrines there are shelves, while the central door offers a large storage compartment. The locks and decorative elements further contribute to the elegant and refined appearance of the piece.
The sideboard retains a beautiful patina and a notable decorative presence. Normal signs of time and use are present, including scratches, small abrasions, variations in polish, and slight surface imperfections, visible in the photographs. No evident major structural problems are detectable from the photographs.
There is no definitive information about the producer or manufacturer; the piece is therefore offered as an Italian Art Deco sideboard, without attribution to a specific cabinetmaker.
An important period furnishing, particularly suitable for a dining room, living room, or classic and vintage setting.
