Latin manuscript leaf from ca. 1460, a Breviary illuminated on vellum from a Lombardy scriptorium (Italy) with two large red and blue initials, 14.5 × 12.5 cm, 2 pages, in Fine condition.

Italian scriptorium of the Middle Ages, Lombardie (probably use of Milano)
- Noted Breviary illuminated leaf on vellum Italy 2 big initials in red and blue colours - ca. 1460
Latin manuscript on parchment, 15th century, ca. 1460 A.D. Writing in dark brown and red ink, with 2 filigree two-line decorative initials in red and blue colors.
Liturgical Context: This parchment leaf contains Latin liturgical instructions and prayers (including the Confiteor, collects, and formulas of absolution) intended for penance and the divine service.
Religious Content:
It features prayers pleading for mercy, the forgiveness of sins, and protection against temptation, including the invocation of God as the merciful one who is always ready to forgive and to break the chains of sin ("Deus cui proprium est misereri semper et parcere...").
It includes ritual formulas for sacramental-ecclesiastical absolution ("Ex officio injuncto... dominus noster jesus christus per suam pietatem absoluat te...") as well as intercessions for the faithful, church servants, and their protection from harm.
A special testimony and source of liturgical practices.
