Kyoko Aizome 愛染恭子 - Photo Collection - 1981

Japanese photobook featuring actress and model Kyoko Aizome (愛染恭子), published as a special issue of Monthly ZIPPER in December 1981.

This first edition captures Aizome during an important period in her career, shortly after she gained widespread attention through her appearance in Tetsuji Takechi’s film Daydream (白日夢), based on the novel by Junichiro Tanizaki. Aizome became one of the most recognizable figures of Japan’s adult cinema and glamour photography scene during the late 1970s and 1980s.

Published in the early 1980s, this volume is also of interest as a period document of Japanese glamour and nude photography, as well as the visual culture surrounding Japanese cinema of the era.
