Black Opal cabochon from Ethiopia, weighing 6.9 ct with smoked treatment, displaying a play of colours including red, emerald green and vivid blue against a dark body.
AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
This exceptional black opal cabochon captivates with a fascinating play of luminous colors on its dark base. In particular, intense red and orange tones stand out, complemented by vivid green and deep blue color flashes that reveal new light effects depending on the viewing angle. The dark base color enhances the contrast of the iridescent opal colors and gives the stone impressive depth. Thanks to the carefully polished, softly rounded cabochon shape, the natural color play is displayed particularly effectively. The two shown sides reveal different color configurations and make clear how vividly the opalescence within the stone changes. An extraordinary one-off piece for collectors and lovers of high-quality opals, which possesses a very special character due to its intense color effect and the combination of fire red, emerald green and glowing blue.
