Val Saint Lambert - Heavy signed Prum cut crystal vase - Belgium - 1970s80s

An impressive and authentic Val Saint Lambert crystal vase, executed in luxurious amethyst cut-to-clear crystal. The vase is entirely hand-cut, revealing the deep ruby-plum layer beneath the clear crystal and creating exceptional brilliance and depth.

The elegant flared body stands on a massive faceted foot, while the geometric diamond and fan-cut decoration reflects the outstanding craftsmanship for which the Belgian crystal manufacturer has been internationally renowned for almost two centuries.

The vase is exceptionally heavy and perfectly suited as a statement decorative object, whether displayed on its own or with floral arrangements. The rich amethyst overlay creates spectacular light reflections and changing tones depending on the surrounding light.

Condition
Good vintage condition.
There is one small chip on the lower side edge (see close-up photographs). The inside of the rim shows light surface wear mat and minor scratches caused by normal use with flowers over the years. No cracks or restorations.
