Val Saint Lambert – Heavy Crystal Display Dome with Associated Crystal Plate – Signed "V.S.L. Déposé" – Belgium – Mid -20th Century

A beautiful and impressive heavy crystal display dome (cloche) by the renowned Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint Lambert, acid-etched "V.S.L. Déposé".

This elegant crystal dome was originally intended as a protective display cover and today lends itself perfectly to presenting cakes, pastries, cheeses, decorative objects, sculptures, dried flowers or collectibles. It also makes a refined centrepiece for an Elle Decor-inspired interior, festive table setting or Christmas display.

The dome is made of exceptionally thick, high-quality crystal and has remarkable optical clarity with a substantial weight of approximately 2.4 kg.

Please note that the crystal plate is not the original matching base. It has been carefully paired later and complements the dome beautifully in both size and appearance.

According to its previous use, the dome may originally have been displayed suspended upside down hanging in a holder, although it is now presented in the traditional upright position.
