A handsome Art Deco cabinet clock from the 1920s–1930s with a dark figured oak case and brass details, a mechanical movement with long power reserve and a half-hour strike on multiple gongs, height 25 cm, width 38 cm, depth 14 cm, weight about 3 kg, and including a winding key in good working order.
Description from the seller
A wide pendulum clock in fine condition from the Art Deco period 1920-1930. The superb clock case is made of dark figured oak and has an imposing presence. On the front, symmetrically arranged decorative curls/ornaments can be seen on both sides, in perfect preserved condition. The convex glass door closes nicely with a brass rim, whereby the brass dial is completely pristine with handsome, cleanly executed Art Deco style hands. The movement is leveled and runs excellently with a small pendulum motion, but may need readjustment after installation, so please take that into account, and be careful when removing the packing material around the movement. The two-tone bim-bam strike produces a pleasant sound every half hour and on the hour. The strike can be set to the left or right with a lever by tipping it so that it rests on the hammers or sound bars. When shipping I have placed them this way as well, so gently tilt them when in use. This luxuriously appointed pendulum clock fits into any interior and is a real eye-catcher, and it will be shipped including a key.
