Polychrome Delft tin-glazed earthenware plate, "barrier" decor — Netherlands, circa 1760
Description of the lot
• Object type: Stanniferous earthenware collectible plate.
• Origin / Manufacturer: Delft, Netherlands.
• Era / Period: 18th century (circa 1760).
• Decoration: Splendid central multicolored hand-painted design representing a traditional oriental garden with a barrier, a stylized tree and flowers. The rim features a frieze of blue and white stylized flowers in relief.
• Dimensions: [Indicate exact diameter in centimeters, e.g., Approximately 22.5 cm].
Status / Condition
• Overall condition: Good overall condition for a piece of this age (over 260 years). The central decoration and colors remain very vivid and bright.
• Signs of wear: Presence of edge nicks and glaze crazing from normal use around the rim, which is quite typical and normal for Delft pottery of this period.
• Important: The plate shows no major through cracks (hairline) and has not undergone any ancient or modern restoration. It is entirely in its original state.
