Up for auction, a splendid professional medium-format twin-lens reflex camera: the Mamiya C3 Professional, produced in Japan by Mamiya Camera Co. Ltd. starting from 1962.
The lot presents itself in good overall condition, fully functional, and is complete with its removable standard Mamiya-Sekor lens, the waist-level finder, and the original front double cap.
Optics: The camera mounts the original pair of standard lenses on a detachable Mamiya-Sekor 1:2.8 f=80mm plate. The lenses are in excellent preserved condition, completely free of scratches or traces of mold.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and is functional. The Seikosha-S mechanical focal-plane shutter responds correctly to the shutter commands, firing regularly at the various speeds set on the chromed dial. The two lower knurled knobs for focusing move smoothly, extending the inner bellows as expected.
Aesthetics: Good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The robust metal body preserves its original structural stability well, showing the classic and normal signs of surface wear and slight localized wear along the outer metal profiles.
