Hanging lamp - Gilt bronze

Atmospheric French antique hanging lamp from the early 20th century, executed in an richly decorated bronze frame with a beautiful white, satin-glazed glass shade.

The glass shade features an elegant baluster-shaped construction with vertical ribs and a decorative central band with relief decoration of stylized flowers and floral motifs. At the bottom the glass tapers into an elegant point.

The shade is surrounded by a beautifully designed brass fitting/halo with abundant leaves, flower motifs and scroll ornaments. The long decorative chain and the ceiling cap are also richly finished, giving the lamp a particularly decorative character.

The combination of white glass and gold-colored brass gives the lamp a warm and elegant appearance. The design aligns with French decorative lighting from the Art Nouveau period and the transition to the early 20th century.

The lamp is equipped with a bayonet fitting; if you would prefer a European E27 fitting, please let us know after the auction.
