Description from the seller
This majolica pitcher is a Belgian production from the Nimy pottery manufacture, dating from the late 19th century. It features a polychrome relief decoration depicting birds on a branch, enhanced by a burgundy interior glaze that contrasts with the green and brown tones of the exterior. The object has a maximum height of 22 centimeters, a width of 10 centimeters and a depth of 18 centimeters, including the branch-shaped handle. The total weight of this piece is 1 kilogram. The base bears the official circular stamped mark of the manufacture as well as incised markings. Regarding its condition of conservation, the pitcher is in overall good condition and shows signs of its age through normal wear and surface crazing. It should be noted that a minor original manufacturing defect very slightly affects the stability of its base, without altering its aesthetic presentation.
