Stunning thematic set "Mineral Green" composed of two highly decorative living-room pieces from the modernist period (1960-1970)
1) A large Brutalist-style ashtray with rough outer edges, designed by Italian sculptor Romano Bianchi (Volterra). Made from solid emerald-green-tinted alabaster, perfectly mimicking the swirls of malachite. It bears its original golden label intact: "RB - Genuine Alabaster - Hand Carved - Made in Italy". Width: approx. 15 cm. Weight: 1110 g. Base smoothly polished.
2) A magnificent free-form bowl / trinket dish sculpted from a block of genuine natural malachite. The top face is superbly polished, revealing the mineral’s characteristic concentric eyes and rings, very graphic.
