Obverse:
Set of four commemorative art medals, each featuring a coloured reproduction of a historic work of art, surrounded by architectural elements referring to the museum.
The four subjects shown are:
Francisco de Zurbarán – Het visioen van Petrus Nolasco, 1629
Nicolaes van Oalen – Het oordeel van graaf Willem de Goede, 1637
Pinacothèque de Munich – Ecce Homo, ca. 1660–1670
Rembrandt van Rijn – De Vaandeldrager, ca. 1636
Reverse:
All four medals share the same reverse, showing the monumental façade of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, with a winged allegorical figure above.
