Porcius Festus (59-62 AD).
Prutah (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.23 g).

Obv: NЄP / WNO / C (of Nero) within wreath, bottom tied with X.
Rev: LЄ KAICAPOC (year 5 = 58/59 AD, of Caesar), palm branch.

Reference: Hendin, Guide to Biblical Coins, 6th edition, type 6380.

Porcius Festus served as Roman procurator of Judaea during a period of growing political tension and unrest. He succeeded Antonius Felix and attempted to restore order while dealing with banditry, local disputes and resistance to Roman authority. Festus is also known from the New Testament for hearing the case of Paul the Apostle before Paul appealed to Caesar.
