Travel wardrobe trunk Bazille, Laval (Mayenne), around 1935-1940

Large French travel wardrobe trunk manufactured by Établissements Bazille in Laval.
Wooden structure covered with gray coated canvas with riveted metal reinforcements and a leather handle.
The interior preserves its original arrangement including a hanging rod, securing straps, and two removable drawers.
Intended for long journeys, this trunk allowed transporting clothes and personal effects without creasing them.

A witness to the golden age of rail travel and the great migrations of the 1930s, it today presents a handsome patina of use that enhances its decorative appeal.
Highly sought after for vintage interior design, charming hotels or shops, it also stands as a testament to the French craftsmanship of travel luggage.
