Holy water font - 1850-1900

Wall-mounted neo-Gothic holy water font, made in gilded bronze, dating from the late 19th century. The upper body is modeled in the form of a Gothic edicule in a relief triptych of three figures, complete with pinnacles, spires and a cross at the apex on the top. In the center is the relief figure of the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus, set in a niche and finished with a dark patina in contrast to the gilding of the frame. In the side niches and at the sides appear devotional figures and, at their flanks, praying angels. The lower part features a conch-shaped basin for holy water with raised decorations.
