Description from the seller
Old Teckel/Dachshund Dog Sculpture (Low-Low) in Solid Metal – Vintage (1930s/1960s)
A charming collectible piece, perfect for Teckel breed lovers and vintage animal art enthusiasts! This is a figurative sculpture of a Dachshund (Baixote), originally from the mid-20th century (1930s to 1960s).
The figure is entirely cast in solid heavy metal (probably regelé or lead alloy), featuring a beautiful dark patina with silvery highlights (old pewter effect). The sculpture work is highly detailed, faithfully capturing the animal’s features, the texture of the coat, the chest musculature and the characteristic gentle gaze of the breed, including the detail of a collar sculpted on the neck. An excellent decorative piece for shelves, desks, libraries, or to integrate into a themed collection of canine figures.
Technical Details & Specifications:
• Era: Circa 1930-1960 (Animal Art / Mid-Century).
