Set of 11 crystal items in clear hand-blown glass with acid-engraved floral motifs, comprising ten water goblets (h 15.8 cm, d 8 cm) and a bottle with a faceted diamond stopper (h 32 cm, d 12.5 cm), dating to circa 1900–1910, possibly by French Saint‑Louis or Val Saint Lambert, with tulip/shaped goblets and a slender stem, base plain, condition good with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Table service in transparent light crystal, mouth-blown and hand-engraved, consisting of 10 water goblets, height 15.8 cm x diameter 8 cm, and a bottle with stopper, height 32 cm x diameter 12.5 cm, of which the rim at the shoulder is slightly chipped (see photo) and it is numbered on both the neck and the stopper. Bottle with a long neck and a faceted stopper, an antique piece belonging to the more refined factory marks of the great European crystal maisons of the Belle Époque era (circa 1880–1915), attributable to French manufactories such as Baccarat or Saint Louis. It features an acid-engraved decoration with garlands, leaves and bows, festoons, and hanging droplets typical of the Empire or Neoclassical style with a delicate botanical motif. The stopper is fully faceted in a “diamond” shape (geometric facets/teardrop), typical of high-quality production from the late 19th or early 20th century. It is not possible to determine the exact brand with certainty from the image alone, as many historic crystal and blown glass manufactories did not apply a visible mark at the center of the object until about 1936; earlier pieces often only had a paper label. With use, washing, and the passing decades (these pieces are over a century old, roughly 1880–1915), the label inevitably detached without leaving a trace. Val Saint Lambert (Belgium) or Saint-Louis (France): Both manufactories produced crystal with this identical Louis XVI acid motif from the late 19th to the early 20th century. The cup presents a classic tulip/shown goblet form. The stem is thin, smooth and straight, connected to the base of the cup by a small ring/knot in solid crystal. A flat circular base with no decorations to balance the refined elegance of the upper part.
