Leica IIIC set with lenses from 1948, body serial 468103, tested and working, in very good physical condition and including a Summitar 5cm f2, Hektor 13.5cm f4.5, VIOOH finder and original carrying bag.
Description from the seller
Good and neat Leica IIIC set from the year 1948 consisting of:
+ a Leica IIIC body with serial number 468103 in original condition with sharkskin covering
+ a Leitz Summitar 5cm f2 lens with serial number 667607 complete with SOOPD hood
+ a Leitz Hektor 13.5cm f4.5 lens with serial number 655403 in black/chrome with rear cap and FIKUS hood
+ a Leitz VIOOH universal finder in Lyra shape
+ an original Leica paraattas
Interesting about the set is that both the camera and the lenses originate from the same year of manufacture, 1948. Since this set comes from a single collector, it wouldn’t surprise us if this set was ever bought together as a whole.
Technically, the set is in very good condition. The camera shutter runs well and has clean curtains. The rangefinder is accurate with a very slight height difference.
In appearance the camera is very neat. No dents or impact damage. Nice covering and lug eyes. The chrome is nice, but at the rear there are a couple of oxidation spots (unfortunately common on early IIIC cameras).
The Leitz Summitar is very good. Glass without scratches, fungus or separation. Minimal haze. Smooth focus and aperture operation (no oil on the blades).
The Leitz Hektor is neat: good glass with minimal haze. No impact damage. Some signs of use.
The Leitz VIOOH finder is good with unbroken glass. Internally minimal haze.
The bag is neat and functional.
In short, a beautiful and honest set for the collector or user.
PM. Not tested with film
WE WILL SHIP VIA UPS OUT OF NL AND DO NOT USE ANY CHEAP CARRIER LIKE OTHER SELLERS DO.
