AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Vintage wall clock produced by the famous Dutch brand Philips in the 1980s.

This piece is a perfect example of postmodern design of that decade, greatly influenced by the visual boldness of the Memphis movement. The clock features a minimalist matte black round dial that brilliantly highlights its geometric hands in vivid primary colors: the hour hand is red, the minute hand yellow and the second hand electric blue, all articulated around a coordinated blue central pivot. Time is subtly distilled thanks to four red/orange marker lines at quarter hours (12, 3, 6, 9).
At the base of the dial, beneath the 6 o'clock mark, there is the silk-screened inscription “West Germany”, indicating it was made in West Germany before reunification.

Its clean and timeless aesthetic will add a decidedly retro, graphic and modernist touch to any contemporary interior.

Manufacturer: Philips
Period: 1980s (Circa 1982-1985)
Origin: West Germany
Materials: Black rigid plastic case and dial, bulged transparent Plexiglas protection.
Dimensions: Approximately 25.5 cm in diameter.
Aesthetic condition: Generally good vintage condition, showing light signs of use or storage consistent with its age (please carefully examine the detailed photos).

Note: the mechanism does not work; it needs to be replaced.
