Description:
A beautiful and heavy antique 4-ton altar bell (sanctus bell), crafted from solid yellow brass/brass around the turn of the century (ca. 1890–1930).
This liturgical bell was originally used in the Catholic church during the Eucharist celebration. The bell consists of four harmoniously tuned hollow bells, mounted under an ornately decorated frame in Neogothic style. At the top there is a sturdy handle and on each bell a decorative knop.
When rung, the mechanism produces a beautiful, clear and ringing sound. The brass has developed a wonderful authentic patina that highlights the piece’s great age.
A special and atmospheric piece of religious heritage, perfect for a collector of religious artifacts or as a unique decorative object.
