Bronze gilt mantel clock - Louis XV / Rocaille style

Elegant gilded-bronze mantel clock, richly ornamented with decorative motifs inspired by Louis XV and Rocaille.

It features a superb sculptural composition with a volute-handled urn surmounting the body of the clock, enhanced with foliage, shells and finely worked scrolls. Its richly decorated base, with curved shapes and symmetrical scrolls, gives it an especially elegant appearance.

The circular dial is adorned with white cartouches bearing Roman numerals, on a gilded decorative background.

The clock does not currently work and requires servicing.
