A very rare and unusual pair of antique Chinese export porcelain strainer plates (pouring plates) from the 18th century (Qianlong period, ca. 1740–1780).
The plates feature a scalloped edge and are richly hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a classic peony and floral motif, surrounded by an elegant lattice border. The central area contains the original hand-pierced drainage holes.
