AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Gothic chest with an arcaded pattern on the front.
Late 16th century and later.
Gothic is a universal style, therefore it is difficult to indicate in which Western European country this piece of furniture was made.
My sense is Flanders or the Netherlands, but it could also be France.
Gothic furniture is very rare and usually parts have been restored or added, but this chest has remained completely original. The bottom as well.

The hinges have become thin from long use, and on the right, in the joint, the wrought iron has worn through.
It opens with care.
I could add an extra auxiliary hinge to it.
But I am not doing that now because it would affect the piece’s museum value, and a future owner would likely have an opinion on that and a different preference.

It could be that this piece stood in a monastery until recently, because in such surroundings things stay more timeless.

Bids under the limit will not be honored.
Prices are very reasonable - I prefer to sell to people who appreciate it.

I ship only to EU countries.
Buyers from other countries must arrange their own transport.
You will receive the shipping details from me.
That can include UPS, GLS, FedEx and DHL.
You will receive a label from your carrier and email it to me.
I can advise you.
