Theresienthal – “Bernadotte” – 6 goblets / wine glasses – elaborate engine-turned engraving – amber-colored stems
Offered is an exceptionally beautiful set of 6 goblets from the renowned glass manufactory Theresienthal in the classic series “Bernadotte.”
What is particularly impressive is the elaborately executed engine-turned engraving on the clear cup. The finely worked decor features floral motifs with blossoms, leaves and curling tendrils. An additional ornamental border in the upper area completes the elegant appearance.
Through the fine graduations of the engraving, there is a delightful interplay between clear, transparent glass and matte engraved surfaces. The detailed execution underscores the high-quality craftsmanship character of these glasses.
A wonderful contrast to the richly engraved, colorless cup are the amber-colored, spirally twisted stems and feet. The characteristic applied nodules at the transition between cup and stem give the glasses their unmistakable appearance.
The series “Bernadotte” belongs to the classic Theresienthal designs and was created in the 1970s under Max Gangkofner. The series was produced in various high-quality finishes, including the elaborate engine-turned engraving present here.

The glasses are overall in a very nice and well-kept condition.
Three glasses are in perfect condition.
Two glasses each show a very small flea bite of about 1 mm on the inner lower rim. One more glass has at this spot two similarly small flea bites of about 1 mm each. These are located on the inner rim and are practically not visible under normal viewing.
The small signs of wear are expressly mentioned for completeness and hardly affect the very beautiful overall impression of the set.
An unusual and decorative ensemble for collectors of Theresienthal glass as well as lovers of high-quality German glass art.
