In 1987, the factory redesigned the Porsche 928-4 prototype, offered by Ferry Porsche for his 75th birthday in 1984. The front of the car was changed, as were the rear doors that opened opposite to the car's travel direction, but this car never saw production because it was too criticized by Porsche purists.
