Beautiful solid oak wine/champagne cooler, with riveted brass hoops and a metal inner bucket, made for the Abel Lepitre Champagne house in Reims, suitable for Magnum or multiple bottles.
For tilt (not tilt) a raised brass plaque (see photos):

One hoop is signed Géraud Lafitte, Meilleur Ouvrier De France 1933.

The woodwork is in a very nice weathered gray state, hoops and handles have been repolished (see last photos).

These coolers/buckets were often used by the Abel Lepitre house, for promotional activities.

Sizes are:
Height 24.5 cm.
Diameter (top) 19 cm.
Width 29 cm. (incl. handles 33 cm.)
Weight +/- 2444 g.

Still hard to find, making it a serious collectors item.

Fraaie massief eikenhouten wijn-/champagnekoeler, met geklonken messing hoepels en een metalen binnen emmer, gemaakt voor het huis Abel Lepitre Champagne te Reims, geschikt voor Magnum of meerdere flessen.
Voorzien van een opgelegde messing plaquette (zie foto's):

Een hoepel is gesigneerd Géraud Lafitte, Meilleur Ouvrir De France 1933.

Houtwerk verkeert in een zeer mooie vergrijsde staat, hoepels en oren zijn opnieuw gepolijst (zie laatste foto's).

Deze koelers/emmers werden vaak gebruikt door het huis Abel Lepitre, voor promotionele activiteiten.
