Description
Elegant Belgian Art Deco ceramic vase, attributed to Auguste Mouzin & Cie (AMC), Wasmuel, dating approximately from the 1920s–1930s.
The vase has a distinctive sculptural form with an elongated body, raised decorative details and a shaped upper rim. The front is richly decorated with a stylised floral and geometric composition in cobalt blue, light blue, red and gold, characteristic of the Art Deco period.
The underside bears a partially preserved AMC factory mark, together with impressed/embossed production numbers.
Height: approximately 29 cm.
The vase is in good vintage condition considering its age. There is visible overall craquelure/crazing in the glaze, particularly noticeable on the reverse and underside, as shown clearly in the photographs. There are also normal traces of age and wear, including some wear to the gilded decoration and minor surface marks.
