Description from the seller
RICHARD GINORI — Porcelain Wine Decanter / Carafe with Hand-Painted Roses
Doccia Manufactory, Italy — with original box
An uncommon porcelain decanter bottle by Richard Ginori, Italy's historic porcelain maker founded at Doccia near Florence in 1735.
The graceful bottle form is hand-decorated with delicately painted pink roses and green foliage scattered over a pure white ground. It is finished with gilt rims and a charming green leaf-and-berry border at the foot and at the stopper. The base carries the Richard Ginori Doccia backstamp.
Conceived as a wine or claret bottle, it works equally well as a water carafe or liqueur decanter, or simply as a decorative display piece.
CONDITION
Near-mint, as-new condition. The piece retains its original box and the original factory plastic wrapping. The cork of the stopper appears unused, suggesting it was used very lightly, if at all. No chips, no cracks and no restoration. Please see all photographs, which form part of the description.
DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT
Height: approx. 30 cm
Weight: approx. 707 g
MARKS
Richard Ginori Doccia backstamp to the base.
PACKING
The decanter is wrapped individually and packed with a minimum of 8 cm of cushioning on every side, inside a double-walled box together with its original box. Shipped insured and marked fragile.
