Georg Jensen Pyramid Sterling Silver Flatware Service, designed by Harald Nielsen
A substantial 165-piece Georg Jensen “Pyramid” sterling silver flatware and serving service, designed by Harald Nielsen (Danish, 1892–1977) in 1927.
The service comprises a setting for 12 across 12 different flatware forms, together with assorted serving pieces, including two wine coasters, salt and pepper shakers, and a mustard pot with spoon.
The pieces are marked with various identifying marks, including Georg Jensen maker’s marks, “STERLING,” “925S,” “DENMARK,” and Harald Nielsen “DESSIN HN” marks. Additional marks include Swedish import/control marks, “632” marks to the condiment pieces, and “STAINLESS STEEL” markings to the blades. See detailed photographs.
The service is composed of sterling silver, stainless steel and enamel. The reported weighable sterling silver content is 256.92 troy ounces (approximately 7,990 g).
The complete service is housed in a fitted two-drawer canteen made of bird’s-eye maple veneer, with dark wood trim and a black velvet-lined interior. The canteen measures approximately 12 × 22 × 16 inches (30.5 × 55.9 × 40.6 cm).

Condition: Very good overall, with tarnishing, polished areas and minor surface scratches consistent with previous polishing and use. The bottom drawer has damage to the internal dividers. Please examine all photographs carefully for the condition of the individual pieces and canteen.
