Professional studio sculpture, handmade entirely by skilled artisans. A piece from a museum plaster cast collection. The craft has ancient origins and is carried out by artists in the sculpture field, made with materials such as scagliola and Carrara marble powder.
Caracalla (211–217 AD) was a Roman emperor known for the Edict that extended citizenship to almost all free men of the Empire and for the grand Baths of Caracalla. He ruled with cruelty and was assassinated during a military campaign.
The indicated dimensions are understood to include the base, if present.
