Description from the seller

Silver ciborium – Martin & Dejean – Paris, 1837-1846

Elegant solid silver ciborium in neoclassical style, resting on a wide circular base decorated with rich engravings of Eucharistic symbols, ears of wheat, grapevines and floral motifs, echoed on the baluster stem and the lid. The latter is topped by an openwork cross. Interior of the cup gilded.

Hallmarks of the Parisian master silversmiths Martin & Dejean, active together between 1837 and 1846, as well as visible guarantee marks.

Height: 25.5 cm
Weight: 255 g

Overall good condition considering its age. Small deformations and traces of an old weld at the level of the cross, visible in the photographs.

Accompanied by its ciborium canopy in cream silk, embroidered with ears of wheat, showing signs of wear.

The photos are an integral part of the object's description and complement its presentation. They help to appreciate its condition and features. Please examine them carefully before any commitment.

The item will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.

Good luck with your bids
