CARL TEICHERT MEISSEN – LARGE OVAL TRAY ZWIEBELMUSTER / CIPOLLA BLU
Elegant and imposing oval porcelain tray by Carl Teichert, decorated with the famous Zwiebelmuster (Blue Onion), one of the most representative motifs of German porcelain tradition.
With its impressive dimensions of 48 × 33 cm, the tray has a particularly striking presence. The refined cobalt blue decoration on a white background features the characteristic floral and botanical motif of Zwiebelmuster.
An authentic historic collectible piece, of great elegance and excellent decorative presence.
MARK AND PROVENANCE
On the back is the distinctive “MEISSEN” mark with a five-pointed star, associated with the historic Meißner Ofen- und Porzellanfabrik formerly Carl Teichert of Meissen.
There is also the number “86”.
The mark is an important element for identifying Carl Teichert production, distinguished from Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen with the famous crossed-swords mark.
PERIOD
The mark used by Carl Teichert allows placing the piece in the historic production from the late 19th / early 20th century.
It is therefore a porcelain with over a century of history, particularly interesting for collectors of Carl Teichert and historic German porcelain.
