Description from the seller
Ramose Murex Shell – Large Specimen with Exceptional Spines
An impressive specimen of Ramose Murex (Chicoreus ramosus), admired for its extraordinary sculptural form and the spectacular development of its branching spines.
This example is particularly striking for the quality and length of its fronds, which extend dramatically from the shell and create a highly architectural silhouette. The spines are finely developed, irregular and naturally branched, giving the specimen a powerful three-dimensional presence from every angle.
The shell displays an attractive ivory to creamy white coloration, with delicate peach and pale pink tones around the aperture and subtle warm accents along the sculptural ridges. The combination of the pale palette and the elaborate spines gives the piece an especially refined and decorative appearance.
Its complex natural structure, generous proportions and strong visual impact make it particularly suitable for an advanced shell collection, cabinet of curiosities or sophisticated interior display.
Shell dimensions: 21 × 16 × 14 cm.
