AV MAZZEGA.. - Table lamp - Murano glass - Vintage 1980

AV MAZZEGA 1980
Lamp with exceptional design; this is a model of the “honeycomb” or “concentric circles” type, an authentic icon of Space Age style produced by AV Mazzega.
The peculiarity of this series lies in its organic, rounded silhouette. The bulbous, stratified form diffuses light warmly and evenly, emphasizing the curves of Murano artistic glass. Structural elements and finishes confirm the piece’s integrity: Diffuser: glossy yellow glass encased.
Base: Metal with original dark embossed textured lacquer, creating a clear color contrast and highlighting the brilliance of the glass.
Condition: The glass is intact and free of warp marks, a fundamental detail for collectible objects of this manufacture.
Produced in Italy, on Murano.
Circa 1980s.
Height 32 cm.
Width 20 cm.
Fully functional with low-energy dimmable E14 bulbs; a modification was made to regulate brightness with a wheel on the side.
Originally operated only with incandescent bulbs; we purchased it 8 years ago for €800.00 at the Borgo D’Ale flea market (near Turin).
The cord has been recently replaced; the lamp is in excellent overall condition with some signs of wear, contact points, and small rust spots.
