WMF / Geislingen - Tureen - Circa 1925 - Silverplated

A superb Art Deco heavily silver plated WMF tureen and its nearly hermetically fitting lid, measuring circa 30,3cm in length including the upturned handles and weighing 2433g. Stamped to the underside with a suite of marks including the WMF square logo used from 1920-1930, NS (Neusilber base metal) in sans serif font that was used from 1925 onwards, 90 indicating the thickness of silver plating and Geislingen-Stiege, that was shortened to Geislingen from 1925 onwards. This combination of backstamps allows us to date the tureen to circa 1925.

Condition: Good, no significant damages or repairs. Normal wear commensurate with age and light use over the years.
