G.V. de Croismare – Signed Art Nouveau / Art Deco Pendant Light – Mottled Glass & Bronze – France, circa 1920

Elegant French G.V. de Croismare pendant light, circa 1920, at the transition between Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

It features a substantial bowl in blown mottled glass, with rich hues of orange, amber and yellow, signed “G.V. de Croismare.”

The glass showcases a superb clouded and marbled pattern throughout the mass, offering beautiful color variations and a remarkable luminous effect when illuminated.

The bowl is supported by an antique bronze mount, with three suspensions in a stylized botanical motif, completed by an elegant canopy.

The Grande Verrerie de Croismare, located in Lorraine, belongs to the important glassmaking tradition of the Lunéville region, historically linked to the surroundings of the Muller brothers.

Dimensions: bowl diameter 35 cm; bowl height 12 cm; total height approximately 58 cm.
