Description from the seller
Acropora palifera (Catspaw Coral) on Metal Stand – Natural Specimen
A striking natural specimen of Acropora palifera, commonly known as Catspaw Coral, presented on a black metal display stand.
This example shows the characteristic thick, rounded and club-shaped branches of the species, developing into a compact yet highly sculptural formation. The colony has a strong three-dimensional presence, with multiple upward and outward growing branches creating a balanced and dynamic silhouette.
The surface is densely covered with small corallites, producing a finely textured appearance throughout the specimen. Its natural white to very pale cream coloration emphasizes the volume of the branches and highlights the complex skeletal architecture.
The coral is mounted on a discreet black metal support, allowing the specimen to be appreciated from all sides while giving it a clean and elegant presentation.
Coral dimensions: 17.5 × 20 × 15.5 cm
Maximum height on stand: 20.5 cm
An attractive natural history specimen, particularly suitable for a marine collection, cabinet of curiosities or sophisticated decorative display.
Legally imported with CITES permit: IT/IM/2022/MCE/05019
Attention bidders from outside EU: This lot requires specific cites custom clearance procedures to be shipped outside Italy and then imported in your Country. We strongly discourage bidders from outside the European Union to make offers.
