Description from the seller
Oneida Silversmiths – Large Silver-Plated Oval Serving Tray – USA – 62 cm
Presenting an elegant and generously proportioned silver-plated oval serving tray by Oneida Silversmiths, one of America's most prestigious manufacturers of silver-plated tableware. Originating in Oneida, New York, the company has been celebrated since the late nineteenth century for producing beautifully crafted serving pieces that combine traditional elegance with everyday functionality.
This impressive tray features finely cast Rococo Revival handles with flowing scrollwork and an exquisitely engraved centre. The decoration consists of graceful acanthus scrolls, floral motifs and stylised shell ornaments surrounding a central cartouche, while the wide polished border creates a refined contrast with the engraved design.
Its generous dimensions make it perfectly suited for serving coffee, tea, cocktails, pastries or hors d'oeuvres. Equally, it can be used as a luxurious centrepiece displaying crystal, candles, silverware or seasonal decorations, making it a timeless addition to both classic and contemporary interiors.
Dimensions
Length (including handles): approx. 62 cm
Width: approx. 36.5 cm
Height: approx. 4 cm
Weight: approx. 1.7 kg

The tray is in good vintage condition with light surface scratches and normal signs of careful use consistent with its age. The underside does have scratches from use. The silver plating remains attractive with a beautiful shine. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
