Description from the seller

Wiskemann – Coffee Service (3) – Silver-plated – Belgium – Art Deco / Early Modernist – ca. 1930–1940

This elegant three-piece coffee service was manufactured by the renowned Belgian silversmith Wiskemann, one of Belgium's finest producers of high-quality silver-plated tableware. Founded in Brussels in 1872 by Otto-Léonard Wiskemann, a Swiss-born silversmith who trained at Christofle in Paris, the company quickly established a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and heavy silver plating. Throughout the first half of the 20th century, Wiskemann supplied refined tableware to distinguished private residences, luxury hotels, restaurants and ocean liners, becoming one of Belgium's leading names in decorative arts.

The service comprises a coffee pot, covered sugar bowl and milk jug. The design features elegant rounded forms enhanced by finely engraved stylised shell and fan motifs around the upper and lower edges, reflecting the refined elegance of the late Art Deco period with the restrained sophistication of early Modernist design. The highly polished silver-plated finish gives the set a timeless appearance, making it equally suitable for serving coffee, elegant table settings or as an attractive decorative display.

Dimensions
Coffee pot: approx. 20 × 24 × 11 cm
Milk jug: approx. 11.5 × 12.5 × 8.5 cm
Covered sugar bowl: approx. 11 × 15 × 9 cm
Total weight: approx. 1,500 g

Condition
The service is in good vintage condition with normal signs of careful use, including light surface scratches consistent with age.
The exterior retains an attractive silver-plated finish with no significant structural damage. Copper is showing through at the bottom of the coffee pot, and there is a small dent.

Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
