Description from the seller
An exceptionally comprehensive and elegant Herend porcelain coffee, tea, and mocha service in the iconic "Apponyi Purple" (Apponyi Purpur) pattern. Handcrafted in Hungary during the second half of the 20th century, this exquisite set showcases the pinnacle of European porcelain artistry.
The service features the classic, hand-painted purple floral bouquets and delicate scattered blossoms, beautifully accented with rich, hand-applied 24k gold rims and accents. The handles of the pots and licked details are further elevated by the characteristic basketweave relief (Ozier pattern) molded into the porcelain body.
This exceptionally large set includes a wide array of pieces, making it perfect for hosting large gatherings or expanding a premium collection.
The service features 67 Items:
Multiple Pots: Including a tall coffee pot, a tea pot, and a mocha pot, all topped with beautifully sculpted rose finials on the lids.
Serving Pieces: A variety of serving platters (including an elongated sandwich/cake platter) and plates, a square woven-edge basket dish, and multiple creamers and sugar bowls.
Cups & Saucers: Multiple sizes of cups (coffee, tea, and mocha/espresso) with matching saucers and side plates.
The Dimesion given, is the size of the largest plates. It serves as a reference for the rest.
Condition:
The entire service is in excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use. The hand-painted decorations remain vibrant, and the gold accents are exceptionally well-preserved, retaining their brilliant luster. No major chips, cracks, or repairs detected.
Please carefully review the extensive gallery of photos to assess the exact condition, hallmarks, and full composition of this lot.
Please note that the delivery time for the furniture is 2-5 weeks. The shipping costs are specified as flat rates, and we still need to inquire about the shipping costs for each city or location after we received your order. We will inform you after the purchase whether we will refund overpaid shipping costs or if the shipment to your location requires additional shipping costs.
Seller's Story
Re-store, Re-Use, Re-Love <3
Fast Food, Fast Fashion & Fast Furniture are not our world. We cherish furnishings with history – made with a lot of care and from a time when good design and quality were more important than quantities, price and pack size for transport around half the globe.
We sell furnishings that we personally select and carefully restore. One by one. Some retain their original look, others are redesigned or upcycled and given a modern appearance with an emphasis on proportions, colors and details. We do offer some new items. These are produced in a fair environment with recycled or local materials.
For us, the idea of a more sustainable world is the guiding principle – in all we do.
We love to extend furniture lifetimes to contribute to a circular economy in the European furnishing industry. With us, you have all under one roof: Design lovers and sustainability enthusiasts. Win-win ;)!
